Sounds like my vendor was trying to place an order with the wrong group.

He was finally told that "This is available via the iseries hardware side, not a PPA product." He then was able to get to the right group and get it ordered. We are still waiting to see the key in the ESS site. Hopefully we see it in next few days.

All they need to do is place a no charge order for with IBM/Distributor. Once IBM processes the order the ESS site will have the permanent key.

IBM complicated the process a bit when they announced that it was not free, but the business partner still needs to place an order for it to generate the license key

All,

We've been working with our vendor for close to a month to get an AJS license now that we are on V7R5. He has gotten a run around, though finally it looks like he was finally pointed in the right direction earlier this week. But he, and we, are still waiting for the key.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem getting the license for the free version of this product.

Our temporary license has now expired and we are not being allowed to get another one from ESS.

Thankfully we'd not pushed anything to a production state on that system yet, but still frustrating.
