Yes, we use TLi as well and converted all of our UFDs to Expanded Files to address this issue on our system and have had no problems since then.

The length restriction depends on the Internal Storage Method selected when the UDF is created. The older Files method is the one with the 1024 restriction. The Expanded Files and User Spaces methods do not have the restriction.

Funny thing is that we have another file for Warehouse Shipping Order
from
2007 that has a record length of 1131 - we've used that extensively
over the years.
I had to remove the two new fields and recompile everything again.

So I'm not going to let this go... that's just my nature. Support is
not going to just blame this on IBM limitations - my guess is that
it's a limitation with how they implemented the corresponding user
spaces - I just know very little about it.

Wondering if anyone else with TrustedLink has ever encountered this issue?
