Hmm... IBM may have changed this behavior in CRTSQLRPGI in recent releases ...
I just ran a few tests and I can specify "DBGVIEW(*LIST)" on the main CRTSQLRPGI command and that works fine. So, perhaps it is no longer needed to use COMPILEOPT in those cases?
YMMV ... depends on what version/release of OS/400 or IBM i you have.
