The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Good job!
I've some suggestions:
- I'd replace the native IBM i commands calls by querying SQL services.
- I would either return a result set or create(if needed) the table on-the-fly passing the table's name as a parameter.

Subject: Recursive DSPPGMREF
WARNING: EXTERNAL EMAIL. Do NOT CLICK on links or open attachments unless you are expecting it or have verified with the sender.
For a learning experience, I've written PGM_REFS, a PL/SQL stored procedure that uses the DSPPGMREF command to display information about a program and the objects it uses, and the objects they use, to a virtually unlimited depth.
You can see the code and some documentation at
https://github.com/SJLennon/IBM-i-RPG-Free-CLP-Code/tree/master/PGM_REFS.
Any constructive comments to improve the the code or approach are appreciated.
Caveat: This is NOT a replacement for a professional cross reference tool.
