Yes, I am testing PGM_REFS in PUB400. COM and since found this type of
error so this pgm might fail in similar kind of cases, seems error handling
is not done inside PGM_REFS considering such cases.

Yes, but REFS got some data in it, until this program failed with mentioned
error.

And this object isn't found so I deduce the FASTBREED library is
compromised. Or incorrectly built. What should the PGM_REFS procedure

I'm looking at FASTBREED on PUB400. Since this isn't a production
machine I have no idea of its accuracy. I suspect you are working on
PUB400 as well. What are you trying to prove there?

And there is also this in the diagnostic message which might be a clue

not found.."

You've got to start reading the error messages and do some of your own
debugging.

Have you taken any classes on the IBM i, or read any introductory books
or manuals or tutorials? If not, you should.
