Hi Jim

We just had this kind of trace done, and they are able to use Wireshark to view the results. I'm not sure the old SST traces could be viewed with WS. IBM i service person was tremendously helpful analyzing what was going on with some problem communications we were having.

Cheers

Most likely a TCP trace. But be careful to get the parms right, that
trace will get big fast. I think IBM uses wire shark to view them, but
don’t quote me on that.

Hi Reggie

There are various trace commands - you can use GO CMDTRC to see them
- these CMD* menus are really useful and sometimes forgotten.

Since you're looking at TCP stuff, you might see if there is a GO
CMDTCP menu.

I offer these because right now I don't remember which command I
believe can help you.

Cheers
Vern

Hello,
We would like to turn on some type of trace for a period of time to
see
who/what is connecting to a particular port number. Would anyone know
how to accomplish this? Thank you.
