The system catalog has been around since V3R1.
Doing DSPFD's, DSPFFD's, etc has long been obsolete. I've asked that IBM
put some stuff back into DSPFD (like temporal table information) and was
rejected.

Only rarely do I fall back on the previous techniques. Like the damaged
object flag in DSPOBJD which is not in OBJECT_STATISTICS.
