It would be helpful to know _why_ you want to do this. And why Java, which is in some respects just another legacy language these days. Moving to node would make more sense if a "modern" language is desired.

Are you trying to improve the user interface? Migrate platforms? Concerned about a shortage of RPG programmers? etc. etc.

There are many modernization tools available - do you have any budget?

Part of the reason for asking these questions is that you can modernize without moving off RPG, CL, etc.

So what's the motivation?
