SQL: How to et a division formatted to a character value

Friday greetings,

I know I've done this before and don't know why I'm pulling a blank.

I'm trying to update a column in a file with the result of a conversion to character of the result of a division from another table.

Cutting out the irrelevant parts, it's roughly like this:

*select tab, total1 / total2 from FWK where tab = 'FUL' ;*

i've tried several things, starting with this:

*select tab, decimal( 100 * total1 / total2, 5, 2) from FWK where tab = 'FUL' ;*

I'm trying to tease out the percentage value.

In this case, the values are total1 = 19 and total2 = 23.

I should get 82.60 or 82.61 but nyet, all I get is 82.00.
