Your changes are indeed specific to Mochasoft and iACS. But they made
sure that the actual hex values in the password of your user profile
were the same. So a hex character that displays or is keyed differently
in some code pages is saved with the correct hex value for the code page.
When you try to use FTP,VS Code, File Zilla, they pick up the code page
from your user profile, which unless you changed it on PUB400, will be
273. [You can changed that with CHGPRF CCSID(nnnnn)].
I don't know why SSH is giving you problems, because VS CODE with the
Code for IBM i extension does all its connections with SSH. I'd guess
that which ever client you are using is working with a different code
page than your user profile. (I am assuming you are using the Code for
IBM i extension.)
