I'd suggest you try Regular Expressions with SQL, they're so good at that.
Not guaranteed, you would probably have to use a repeated sequence but if
you find your way, you may get it with very little code.

Try to see the regexp_replace() or the regexp_substr() SQL scalar
functions. I use them a lot and let me tell you, they give me very good
results.

We have no control over the creation of the data.

The data is coming from NON DB2 and we have to load the results to DB2
