Using Navigator, in the performance tasks, go to Manage Collections -> Collection Services Collections.

Filter the collection type to *CSMGTCOL.
Go to the columns dialog - found in the upper right hand corner of the table - and add in the expiration date column.
If you see an expiration date in the past, open a support ticket with IBM as they should have been removed from the system.

If you see “Does not expire” go to Collection Services Configuration task and review the information on the General tab.
Look specifically at the "Collection object retention". Is it possible that was set to “Make permanent”?

If you see “Does not expire” and the "Collection object retention” is set to reasonable some number, there are two options:
- Contact IBM support
- Someone could be using the CHGMGTCOL command to make them permanent

There are other reasons that would cause the expiration date to not expire, but those are actions such as copying a collection to another library (CS only expires collections in the configured library (generally QPFRDATA).

I'm interested in knowing what you see.

I have those going back thru mid November (about 5 1/2 months). I checked
both of CFGPFRCOL and Navigator, and there's no setting anywhere near that
long. The longest I see is 30 days.

Thanks

That's all set up in Navigator (easiest place).

The command you might try is CFGPFRCOL. You'll find retentions in there,
but the best place is Navigator.
