I set Java Home

JAVA_HOME=C:\whereyousintalledrdi\SDP96\jdk\jre

Here is the IBM doc that lists the order of how acs looks for java:

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/java-options-ibm-i-access-client-solutions

*ACS will search for java.

1. JAVA_HOME

2. C:\Program Files\Java (64bit) or C:\Program Files (x86)\Java (32bit).

3. C:\Program Files\IBM\Java80 (64bit) or C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Java80.

* Place the Java JRE folder next to the acslaunch program that is being used.
* Add a -vm statement to the acslaunch program call.

Do you remember how you pointed ACS to use the Java installed with RDi?
