My 2 cents is also to also change the object ownership of anything
a group profile might own.

It is not possible to rename a *USRPRF. (A "GRPPRF" is just a *USRPRF that is designated as a "group profile" in some other *USRPRF.)
Create a new *USRPRF with the desired name, and then change all of the user profiles connected to the old "group profile" so they now point to the new one. Also check for "supplemental" group profiles.
Once that is completed, you can delete the old "group" profile.
