True, it takes a long time on larger systems, but it's not anything the system can't handle.
Also True, *DTAARA's and *DTAQ's will not be caught.
The only full proof way to catch ALL activity would be to Journal the entire system.  You would see about a 5-10% CPU hit and % hit on disk space depending on activity.
