Oh, reminds me of the time I was tasked with teaching CL to a new
programmer. Briefly, I was busy so I flipped Malaga's CL tome and told him
to browse it, I'll be right back.
Ernie had used the PWRDWNSYS command in the intro to illustrate the
formatting. The kid turned around and typed it into the system, console.
Since I worked for Ernie evaluating and proofing articles, I called him up.
We both got a good laugh out of it and he swore he would change it in the
next edition.

Our IBM I 720 basically shut down yesterday for no apparent reason.
All users and jobs stopped.
We couldn't log on to the system system by any method including console from
ACS.
We finally did a control panel shut down and re-IPLed the system.
All has running normally since.
Nothing in WRKPRB, SST PAL, or SST SAL.
Never seen anything like this before.
Ideas?
