You may choose to report this issue to Mocha. When I did maybe 4, 5 times, I got reply only from a "jan f". Not sure how big Mochasoft still is. :-) Most often his reply was more or less "we won't fix because we decided my request isn't important" — or too much work to him, as I felt. Often to my surprise, after some weeks had passed, there was an update on the App Store and the reported issue was gone.

So, may be worth a try. Btw., the more people report, the more "motivation" for fixing the issue might arise. Since I don't have an Apple keyboard, I can't test it. I'm using a very old Logitech one which works for basic tasks.

Since we cannot load ACS (no Java on iPad) is there another 5250 emulator that will work?

Well, search for "5250" on the app store. I did years ago and decided to go with Mocha, because I was used to it from my Mac. I remember (and just verified) there are other tn5250 clients, though. Because of their high price tag compared to other software on the app store, there sometimes are restricted "light" versions for trying them out for free. But I honestly can't recall my individual "rating" of these. Too long ago.
