This SQL service gives you the number of currently active jobs in any
subsystem.

(Got this in V7R5)

SELECT SUBSYSTEM_DESCRIPTION_library, subsystem_description,
CURRENT_ACTIVE_JOBS FROM QSYS2/SBS_INFO

Obviously you can specify any subsystem name/library.
