You're missing the real problem.

You can set your profile to use the proper date format, that part is cool. The problem is they don't put the bloody keys in ' characters (e.g. they come as 2022-12-02 rather than '2022-12-02') so the data isn't valid. The problem is the embedded characters, no matter if they are '-' or '/' date sep either way they need quotes and they don't provide those.

If they just would surround the date with quote characters then it matters not what format you want.

That declined my RFE for that long ago.
