The exception being something that only starts up on occasion. If the jvm job is not currently running then it's not going to show up on WRKJVMJOB.

According to the following, if you have both jdk7 and 8 installed on IBM i 7.3 it will use 8 as the default.

According to IBM, Java 17 is GA. I just wish they would specify what platforms. :-(
Java 11, while a LTS or "Long Term Support" release, is a flash in the pan. It hits EOS before 8 does.
I do have an "idea" out there to have Java 17 on IBM i. IBM has it classified as "Future Consideration". I believe it will become critical for Domino. I cannot fathom Java 8 running on iNext.
