We just bumped our test system from 7.3 to 7.4, and two lesser LPARS as well (one started at 7.1 or 7.2).

Only 'surprise' was upgrading WebSphere to the latest version of JAVA. Some very easy-to-follow instructions-- QSHELL programs to run that wander through your configuration files and update things. Surprise was that the instructions were quite clearly included in the Memor to Users v7.4 (page 35 has links to the How To pages).

Keep current configuration. That always comes up if there are
additional LUNs (in your case) that may not be configured or the system
sees for one reason or another. No big deal. If you need to mess with
it, meaning add or remove disk units, it's best to do that later anyway.
