Hello,

today I had an idea about IBM i documentation. IBM offers documentation specific to a given version — which often ends up being the same for all versions being available on their web site.

If one wants to set a link to that documentation, e. g. in some Stack Exchange answer, sooner or later, the given version will vanish from the server and the link becomes invalid.

Some OpenSource projects maintain symbolic links in their download locations. There is a real file with the version number in the file name, and a symbolic link with the word "latest", always pointing to the newest version.

Anyone has the power to pester IBM to do something similar to their documentation pages? So links stay valid despite a certain version being removed from the web site for being hopelessly outdated.

Thanks!
