I also suggest testing the cables. I had lots of issues with twinax. Pins getting pushed in, etc.
Some terminals only look like you can hook twinax directly into them. Instead you had to go to a T or Y connector which then hooked into the terminal. And sometimes, even then, you might have to put a terminator cap on the unused end. Some T or Y connectors are auto terminating.
IDK if there are any settings in the device itself which indicate "I'm at the end of the line."
Also, did you set the address to 0 on the device? On some devices you get to the setup screen by holding the space bar down while turning it on.

I hate twinax. Been rid of it for decades.
