allocated or locked, which prohibited the delete.
IBM i and PASE are always a weird auth/perm environment, there's 2 layers
that have to be satisfied.
But it's possibly something simple like you said, some race condition had
the file locked at some level when you went to delete it.
And then the condition was gone when you got to deleting it manually.
Do you have a unit test for this so you could get repeatability into the
discussion here?
