I am looking to see if someone already wrote something and maybe open sourced it. I suppose I should check Github. Someone recommended this video and I plan on watching it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWYqp7iY_T

Basically I was planning on using the techniques at: https://www.scottklement.com/presentations/RPG%20User%20Defined%20Functions%20%26%20Table%20Functions.pdf to create a UDTF to process this:
