We disable inactive user profile automatically using QSYS/CALL PGM(QSYS/QSECIDL2) PARM('030') in a monthly scheduled job. QSYSOPR has not been logged on to for 12 years. But the account does not get disabled. Does not really address your question directly but the account must be getting used somehow so it is not disabled.

I had a question from a client today and can't find anything definitive after a bit of search:
Can I run my system with QSYSOPR disabled ?
My feeling is possibly not, but I am questioning my thinking and in the absence of a document I am wondering whether I should try it out or not.
Does anyone have an option or experience one way or the other ?
Does anyone have a reference they can point me to one way or the other ?
Maybe the auditors down here are starting to catch up to the rest of the world.
