Thanks. #1 is of course out of my hands for customer boxes (the only ones I would *need* to access via SSH).

Since #2 is the second thing I tried (the first thing I tried omitted the user-ID, so I pulled up the MAN page for SSH on my Mac), and it didn't work, I would imagine that #3 would apply here.

And since we may as well "#3" the customer into setting up either Secured Telnet or VPN access, which would probably be better anyway, this is looking increasingly moot.
