I'm trying to create a View that will be used in a DS-array that will be defined in the DCL-DS statement as EXTNAME( <sql-view> ).

But in creating the View I now get a compile error, SQL0170, that "the number of arguments for function DATE function not valid".

That's after "tweaking" the code for the View.

The View has date types that mostly originate in DDS-created physical files.

When I used the View straight up, including various date fields, before in the DCL-DS as described above, it gave me an error that a member in the structure was "not compatible". But gives no more detail than that.

I've tried using functions to compensate, not getting headway. I think I know which DDS field but can somebody tell me what the real problem probably is?
