I created an "idea" to add support for JDK17 to IBM i.

By the time IBM i 7.5+1 comes out all support for jdk8 will be gone and jdk11 will be down to "security support" only.
IBM ends support for jdk8 April of 2025 which will be just one month shy of three years since the announce date of IBM i 7.5
