I contributed a lot to that wiki and have done a few of these migrations to data centers. That and my sadistic network administrator was going through a phase of changing IP addresses for thrills.
Is your HMC on a private network between only it and the Power system? Or is it on a company network?
You have two ports for such stuff on your Power systems and often do on your HMC too. Make sure you know the IP addresses for both ports so if you can't get to one during the transition you can get to the other. Even if it is only with a local connection.
