Depends on the font you use (Arial?) and the System. Even on Win10, i usually
take fixed with fonts with no issues with iACS on any size of the window.
Maybe looking some weird if you go to unusal aspect ratio…

And for sure - everyone should select a suitable font which displays well,
on Windows like MS Gothic, Lucida Console, Consolas, everything
which is not the old IBM3270 font.

On Mac i prefer Andale Mono.

So i see no point where iACS renders worse than CA.

I will just quibble with the term "kerning" because 5250 screens are
monospaced grids of characters, and thus no kerning could occur, even
theoretically.
