I'm confused about why you don't just use 5770-TS1 (it's included with IBM
i at no cost) to create an output queue that keeps the PDFs in it. No
cost, no changes to programs (maybe a redirect to a different output queue)
and it's done. You need:
5770-TS1 *BASE
5770-TS1 Option 1
Am I missing something? The request was to simply create PDFs from IBM i
spool files. What get all immersed in Open Source when you don't have to?
I'm not opposed to Open Source solutions, it's just why complicate it
further than it has to be?
Push comes to shove, you can use ACS as a plugin to create it as well.
(Still requires TS1) but that's still a bunch of work when you don't really
need to do much at all.
