Bob,

I should have elaborated. We use both carriers mentioned below... UPS support in Varsity is all native IBM i. Works great. FedEx still uses the Ship Manager server (although OneRate is via APIs and Varsity is eventually moving Ground and Air to the APIs). It works very well to. The weakest link is the FSMS software, but you probably already know that. The only real issue we have is that the FSMS doesn't always update fuel surcharges and rates like it's supposed to do. But then again we have 25+ shipper accounts.

I can tell you with Varsity that the Tech Support is great... the people have worked there for many years. They really know their stuff.

Feel free to contact me directly.

HTH,
Greg

Subject: i-based shipping software

Has anyone had any experience with either Varsity or Logicor shipping software on the i? Or any other i-based packages?

We are looking to replace our standalone FedEx Ship Manager and UPS Worldship setup. Any reviews or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks
