I agree that the market will decide - and of course in part that will be based on price and capability. Plus of course how "open" the Merlin platform is to other tools vendors beyond Arcad.

But this has not occurred in a vacuum by any stretch of the imagination.

The point is that MERLIN provides the hooks so CI/CD conveyors can be constructed in Red Hat that cause builds and tests to run on legacy code on the IBM i side.
