I’d just tell them you need 208/240 volt single phase, or when the system smokes, the just bought a new one. As to looking in the panel, aside from being more dangerous than reasonable and you might not recognize what you see, get an electrician in to check it.

The small amount of money you spend on professionals to give you the right answer, safely is more than worth it. (Insurance would also insist on that)

what you all are saying, is that it's up to how wired in receptacle box?
i see rack has two Liebert MPH PDU's, one for each power supply , with
further reading it appears the pdu will handle either single or 3 phase.
But new data center is going to have to match receptacle plug type.

At the Printing Museum (https://www.printmuseum.org), we've standardized
on a specific size and configuration of 4-pin twist-lock 3-phase plugs
