I was looking at
DSPF STMF('/QSR/QSR/HL')
And I noticed it starts with 2014 and ends with today.

Judging by the contents of that directory I'm pretty sure that if you delete or rename HL and FR they'll just recreate
copy_fr
copy_fr_old
copy_hl
copy_hl_old
FR
FR.OLD
HL
I'm thinking some of this happens automatically.
EDTF '/QSR/QSR'
Position in size
F16=Sort
Name Size Owner Changed
FR.OLD 57,344K QSECOFR 03/01/22 03:04
copy_fr_old 57,344K ROB 02/24/22 12:33
copy_fr 49,152K ROB 02/24/22 12:33
HL 40,960K QSECOFR 03/01/22 03:05
copy_hl 40,960K ROB 02/24/22 12:33
FR 8K QSECOFR 03/01/22 03:05
copy_hl_old 4K ROB 02/24/22 12:33
Is that the generally accepted practice?
Is there any GO CLEANUP type of thing for these flight recorders?

Even with data that old not really the biggest files out there.
