we switch over from our primary to our secondary (using software
replication) we have to change our DNS to point the lpar to a different IP
address. We have a command which uses ssh into our Windows DNS to fix this
as part of the switch script.


Our two LPARs are in different data centres. When we spin up the DR LPAR in
the alternate data centre it's running off a complete copy of the
production LUN complete with the production IP addresses etc. We get
around this problem (this is my high-level understanding) by having more
than one IP configuration setup. One is for production and one is for DR.
On startup a script (?) looks at the serial number of the Power server it's
running on and based on that activates the appropriate network
configuration. We would do the same for bringing up the development LPAR on
the production server.
