application database validity checking

Is there a term that describes the process of checking that an application
has updated the database correctly?

When an order is shipped from a warehouse, there are inventory transactions
that record the consumption of inventory. Those values must match the
quantity shipped from each line of the order.. A shipped order must have a
ship date and cartons must have tracking numbers. The inventory reserved to
the order must be released.

I would not say this is unit testing since a unit test is designed to run
repeatedly.
