I finally figured out how to use SQL across machines with a DDMF using *RDB.
The *RDB was the part that I kept overlooking.

Now a question about performance.

Assume I have a PF of people with a key of IDNumber and it has an LF built
over it with a key of LastName, FirstName. If I build a DDMF on another
machine over the PF named PF_DDMF and then I do a select * from PF_DDMF
order by LastName, will it use the LF to do the sequencing?

Preliminary testing looks like it does use the LF because it returns the
results much quicker ordering by LastName than it does ordering by
FirstName. However, since it is crossing machines, I don't want to make
assumptions and end up with a performance problem because it does not. Can
anybody confirm that the machine will use the indexes / logicals built over
the PF to process the command?
