I have a need to retrieve the command used in the submit job commands. As
part of the day end process, we submit about 100 jobs. I want to see the
commands that will be run by the job and copy the information into a file.

TIA, Darryl Freinkel

Hello

try SELECT A.MESSAGE_TEXT FROM TABLE(QSYS2.JOBLOG_INFO('jobnbr/jobuser/jobname')) A WHERE A.MESSAGE_TYPE = 'REQUEST'

I did not investigate all of possible issues, but it looks like the job must be active, in job queue or with a pending joblog (not in a spool file) if complete for the SQL statement to succeed to find the joblog.
