The closest I can think of is having a "schema" name different than the system library name.

For example:
create schema I_Like_big_library_names for schema robshort;
However,
1-The first name has to be longer than 10 characters when using 'for schema...'. You cannot do CREATE SCHEMA ROBNAM1 FOR SCHEMA ROBNAM2.
2-There is no ALTER SCHEMA to do this. A possible workaround involves saving everything. Creating the new schema. Restoring the objects into the new schema.

Any attempts to try this:
ADDLNK OBJ('/qsys.lib/rob.lib') NEWLNK('/qsys.lib/roblnk.lib')
Result in:
CPFA0AD:
Message . . . . : Function not supported by file system.
Cause . . . . . : An attempt was made to use a function which was not
supported by the file system for path /qsys.lib/rob.lib. The path selected
may not be valid for the function, or it may not be in the same file system.
