Short answer - no, there is no such command. Nor a way to convert to tab-delimited.

Several have used Scott Klement's POI-based service program for reading Excel spreadsheets, whether XLS or XLSX. I think you can find it now on scottklement.com, although he and others can correct me, if needed.
