It's a bit after the fact BUT ....

There are several tasks that I run and stash on my internal LAN that assist with this type of issue:
Run a PRTSYSINF and use ACS to grab the spooled files and archive them. If not ACS then locate the spooled files
To a protected outq. I will zip them up and also move them to a place like MicroSoft OneDrive.

Next, if you don't have it, get it (free) the IBM I MGTOOLKIT and if you have it, run the SYSPLAN (addlible qmgtools, go mg, option 1 - system snapshot)
from it and grab the output (*STMF) from the IFS and stash it.

These 2 steps will give you a reference of your systems / partitions. I have found this info invaluable at times.

I also have a PRTJOBD program that kicks out every job description on our systems to a spooled file.
I run a system config out of SST (I believe SYSPLAN provides that now). I also run "call QLZARCAPI" from a command line which give you
system info about your partitions.
Between keeping the PRTSYSINF and the SYSPLAN, you can't go wrong. And every time POTF's are updated, I'll refresh the repository.
You can also run a WRKJOBSCDE *basic and *full to print as a hard copy backup too.

I was a bonehead this morning. We are having an issue with MSF which caused a problem with a job running and wasn't caught until this morning. So consequently a lot of jobs that run over the weekend and this morning didn't run because there was a job with a MSGW status. I think that I am working with the jobs in the queue to delete some that would be redundant (daily start operation type stuff) or not necessary (long running jobs for my purposes that I run on the weekend only). Instead of working with the jobq, I am in the WRKJOBSCDE screen deleting items , ugh. How can I restore the Job Schedule (all or just the ones I deleted) from tape? I don't have a list.
