Perhaps a security breach scanning open ports on the network ?

Anyone know why a Power 9 system running v7r3 would use TCP port 3389 to contact a telnet device (Motorola/Zebra Radio Frequency device running 5250 telnet)?

This occurred yesterday and the security software on our firewall shut down access from that network to the IBM system.
