Post-process the CSV using Python?

Not a horrible idea.

A better idea would be to use Python to generate the CSV in the first
place, eliminating CPYTOIMPF.

An even better idea would be to use Python to generate an Excel file,
bypassing all the various issues that come with CSV.

Best of all would be to replace the *QRYDFN completely with a proper
SQL query, done in Python. After all, you'd be processing the output
of the *QRYDFN using SQL anyway.
