Yep, I follow that rule, but since IBM insists on using that Download
(Mis)Director or HTTPS your odds of getting a corrupted file are very

Rebooted system (which is a PITA to start with) to clear all cache/etc IBM
leaves behind
Run CC Cleaner to be sure all cookies etc are gone, again IBM ignores the
browser cookie restrictions so you need to manually clobber them.
Tried three different browsers, Chrome, Brave, and the older Explorer
(since Edge is just Chrome repackaged) Nada, nutten, norway gonna work.

You'd think there would be a site where you could use sftp, or such but
nope, Not gonna happen.

I liken much of their web site to a train wreck looking for a place to
happen. You simply cannot predict when where or how it will fail, the only
thing certain is that it will. And as Jim mentioned it's like a dog that
can sense fear, it knows your urgency and the higher that is the greater a
chance of failure!
