Statement of direction: Lifecycle planning information for IBM POWER8 systems
IBM(r) intends to announce the withdrawal from marketing of MES upgrades to IBM POWER8(r) systems in January 2022. On or after the effective date of withdrawal, MES orders for additional features on POWER8 systems will no longer be available.
