Sure. Why not? Requires a fibre card and depending on if you are running
VIOS or not two fibre and ethernet cards, although this requires Fibre
switches. A stand alone partition could direct connect to the SAN
(assuming a lower end SAN that accepts direct connect)

I have multiple customers using SAN boot for VIOS and IBM i, AIX, and Linux
on P05 boxes. (Agile has one too)
