The original project involved the processing of folders with a maximum of
100 files. Some customers today have folders with 2,000 / 3,000 files. Now
I have to keep both situations: 100 spools for small clients but only one
spool for those with many files.

The program activation group is *NEW and there is no practical way to
change it.

Maybe I can try to use OVRPRTF ... SHARE(*YES) and open the printer file
also in the caller.

Why does one want to merge spool files in the first place?

Also, isn't there some option in ovrprtf or some such thing to generate
only one spool file instead of multiple? Maybe the SCHEDULE option or some
such thing?
