Why not set them explicitly by calling a stored procedure? Or the IBM supplied QCMDEXC stored procedure?

Rob -

I have three different DSN's set up, one for each JDE environment, with each DSN having the appropriate library list for the JDE environment.

This is just out of curiosity. I have time to play around, and I am interested in determining other methods which can be used to set the library list of the server job - there's more than one way to skin a cat!

Methods:

1. Use the ODBC DSN to set the library list.
2. Execute the CHGLIBL command via QCMDEXC
3. Call a stored procedure which uses CHGLIBL to set the library list before doing any work.
4. Use the connection string to set the library list ?
5. ???

It seems that the IBM documentation for this is hard to find and every time I click on an IBM link it's usually dead and takes me to the ibm.com/docs/en/i site...
